Some of the light spells seem pretty cool. The dark spells are just, well, dark, and many find that pretty cool.
PS. Can't wait to see what gruesome things I can do to people with blood magic....

I had a really great idea for a major blood magic...But I was loathe to include it because it was like almighty powerful and practically unblockable.
The idea was that you could open up lots of cuts on your opponent silmultaneously, causing blood to just explode out. I suppose I could have lessened the effects a bit and included it...but I didn't really want to water it down.

I have a great idea for blood magic, I just want to keep it for one of my signature spells.
I'm so selfish. ;D

I can't WAIT to hear about it.
I really do think that magic has a lot of potential for battling, especially player vs player. We can get some epic fights going on. We'll just have to take it on the chin a bit if we get destroyed by a stronger mage...
Even thought it's kinda against the rules to fuck someone up without their consent...you gotta be able to deal out at least a little pain right? Especially if you're DARK.

Eh, the majority of the characters I'm mean to are NPCs anyway, so whatever.

Fuck it...I say go for it. I don't mind if you rag on people a bit, if they have a problem with it, they can let you know, it's worth testing the water with some people at least. I know I wouldn't mind getting a smack now and again, it makes things more REAL. It's no fun when you're invincible and never take a hit.

True, but it's sometimes painful to try to create a pecking order of whom in the rp can beat who. I don't mind having Aleksandr way down on the list, but I'm unsure of Viktor (my new character, and Aleks's brother). If I come out swinging with him, its cheap for all the other people who have been rping for a long time, for me to create a character that wants to be the most dangerous person in the world. So, I'll have Viktor be diabolical to NPCs, and kind of leave others alone (except for snide comments) until I've built up a little weight with him.

I'm not talking about just slying up on people and slicing an arm off here y'know! I mean just...If you get into a fight with another player, it might be worth it to assume you've done a little damage without waiting for confirmation. Of course, you can work out all the details on how far you can go via PM too, that tends to work well.
If I end up in a scrap with any of you and cross the line, pipe up and let me know. But just so as you know, I'm willing to take a bit of a kicking in return too, I've already had me eye poked so I'm half blind by an orc, so I don't mind.

You know, I was noticing something...
We have relatively few magic users, but still enough to make a generalization.
People stick to their Major/Minors, even though it's set up where they can learn novice spells throughout their Alignment.
I like it the way it's turned out. Perhaps being able to choose spells throughout your Alignment (and even Neutral) is too much. Maybe we should stick to learning spells from our M/ms.
Or maybe be able to choose one outside spell.
I know I was the one who initially suggested the cross-the-board spell using, I thought it would give us greater leniency, but now I think that was too lenient an idea.
Seeing as no one's gone outside their M/ms yet, perhaps we should implement my suggestion (if we are going to, that is) soon, to avoid complications.

I was palnning to learn a water spell Hehe, well... That's okay, maybe you're right, though we should really think about more spells. I guess I could learn an ice spell in a water temple as well, right?

I was thinking that same thing, Rich. Having a Dark master learn water spells at a temple. Then again, I was planning on having it fail...

I know, that's what I meant.
You respond with Rich, then I do with Viktor, then you log out and switch to Zoltan. To even things up, I should switch to Aleksandr.
...oh wait, I have...

Well.

I guess I'll be going now.

Because I have to go do something.

Something pro-active.
*picks up books*
And above all fun.
