I think it should state that a monk may be of an evil allignment if he's forsaken his god. And the possibility of a neutral or even good goblin shouldn't be excluded, I think. I realize you tried to make it sound simple as can be, so maybe it's okay, so long as new players see the possibilities of originality. What of this Master idea? It opens up doors to In-Game role-playing where the master goes out with his apprentice(s) to teach them about the magic he exercises I think that would be ever so cool

OK so I'll put in a 'most likely' in that part. And add a little splurge about falling from grace. Happy now?
As for the Magic master thing, that would kind of interfere with the testing yes? I mean...I suppose the test could involve someone playing as 'the master' and then RP with the person taking the test...that would work too.

Aye, but that's my problem with the current magic philosophy. How do they learn it? Isn't there great stories to be told of ancient magicians? I think that apart from the tests, this fresh blood needs guidance in order for the magic to run through them effortlessly. It would make for some beauiful rp moments But if I'm making things too complicated... I'll rest my case

Well the idea is that once they've passed the test and earned the right to use the magic, they can create their own back story of how they came upon it. Or in the case of learning whilst RPing, they can write a thread about learning it, take the test, then if they pass, finish the thread they were learn ing it in having aqcuired the skill. EDIT: I added this into the testing thread. Addtional Information Having passed a test does not mean you must use the spell. You can then, go away and invent the back story of how you came to learn the spell, or begin a storyline within the game in which you will learn the spell. Passing the test gives you the RIGHT to use the spell. The test itself does not dictate how your character came upon the spell, or wether they in fact have that skill now. Better?

Ahh excellent. Finally!
Now...I must get started inventing spells...There was something else I had to put in as well...there was the bit about user created spells needs adding..But I'm forgetting something important I know it...Damn. did I already put the bit about naming spells? Gah, I can't remember...
*Goes insane*
EDIT AGAIN!: I have it! It was the schtick about the effects of using magic, and usuing it in a reasonable manner.
Yes! almost there now. I just have a terrbile feeling that a newcomer looking at it is just going to think it's terribly complicated and confusing.

Well, I read it all through again, and apart from some more information on custom made spells I think you pretty much got it all covered. No? I have to go, though. Euhm. Yeah.

Ah well I was going to put that in the spell list thread. When I finally get it done, it took me long enough to try and get all that stuff comprehensive. A big thanks to everyone, I just need a little more from you all regarding the spells you'd like to see in the game.
Thanks to Aleksandr too, who has been especially helpful in sorting out the categories and classes.
And bye for now Zoltan!

Yeah, so, can we start applying for spells immediately? 'Cause I see sections without Novice spells, for example.

I'm working on it right now. If you'll notice the forum reads 'under construction, for viewing only,'
As soon as I've filled out the list a bit more we can get started. Any spell suggestions would be very useful right now, because I'm racking my brains.

The coin is tossed. With Kira, magic seeps into this realm. Pardon my dramatic words, but a magical moment this is.
Magic... It exists. Who would've thought?

Well I know it wasn't in our original plan for this place...but I'm honestly looking forward to it all. It's something fresh and new, and it could just work our brilliantly. The possibilities are immense.
(Just a reminder, but just beacause it's all open now, doesn't mena we don't want any new spells on the list. Suggestions still welcome.)

Ah well...I dropped the wait time down for more tests, so in 9 days you could be on Minor level spells...You're already the most adept magic user anyway! Well...Except for Schola.

Is it just me...Or did I manage to make all the dark spells infinitely cooler than all the others?
I don't have a dark character either...Well looks like my next one is going to be a dark soul.

I am in awe of neutral powers. Truly amazing. It's got it all. In the neutral branche there's so many options for you to have a very broad selection of spells.
Aye. If a mage will ever flow from my mind, neutral shall be his magic.
