Ooooh That sounds fun. ;D Although, how we go about posting... I still haven't the smallest clue. Maybe, maybe we can go in alphabetical order or such, and Pm the small events going on between two or three others.

Yeah so what we'd thought of is:
There could be groups (Church, Citizens, woodelves (in case of the fire), dark elves (who would probably enjoy all that, dark creatures, city guard, ... Some thought should go into these groups) But the order in which the groups should speak their mind is what I'm uncertain about. For that I would still use a general speaker who sais why we're all gathered here and asks if one party would like to go first.
Example: the woodelves say "Aye, we'd like to speak first". They PM (or discuss in a seperate board?) what their statement is
"The Greamers started a fire in our woods!"
General speaker: "Greamers, woudl you like to say a thing or two in your defense?"
The Greamers PM and say what they will.
I think that might work...

That sounds like it would work well. Maybe, just possibly, you could create a sub-board just for the moot, in which seperate groups could speak, and a general one in which everyone ould vioce thier opinions and storylines could start to be created.

You mean some sort of IC moot thread and an OOC moot thread? That's an idea I can definitely appreciate ;D

mwahahahahaha!.
How did i miss this thread?
Actually, oncei finish writing Ragnik's ascent to power in kirakesh, i was thinking of a general war, with the orcs of kirakesh sacking and destroying Efarien (a great chance for PvP?) i dunno, something somewhat drawn out, maybe bring caymis back into the story, the unleashing of powerful magic, Zoltan's naked romp through the mushroom grove, etc. etc.
lemme know what you all think. maybe those of you with dark creatures could bring them out, those of you without em, Make EM!
i dunno.... talk to me. maybe the 'moot' could be a war council on the defense from the horde that is on its way to aldorm... to get back on subject.

Kira would have her place in all this, of course. I intend on getting her story started up again, seeing as it's been non-existent since the wiping of the boards. She is destined for bigger and better things than just a simple serial killer. If an all out war broke out, well... who knows what will happen to her.

I always knew those romps would catch up with me... But no matter how hard you try to live at peace with it, it still hits home hard when it's outed...
A war?! May the Gods have mercy on our icecream...
That complicates things, I think, but that's okay. More thinking required, give me moment...

Complicate things it does...Because to maintain integrity, the war would be an enforced story...On all of Elendhel, which would impose a perhaps unwanted set of events on anyone who doesn't want to be part of the moot and its story.
Something as universal as a war surely has the epic proportions that we'd need...But we can't have other people going around in the town buying fruit making merry greet with townsfolk while the walls are being bombarded with boulders from Orcish catapults...
Do you see the dilemma?

Hadn't thought of that... And it's true and true and true, and above all... It's rightuous!
Now... We might vote for a war, and if everyone would like to see it happen... Green light. But if one person refuses (by all means, you're allowed to say nay), it's a no-go.
The other thing: An all out war isn't a clever storyline... So how do we go creative on that?

Clever storyline + war coming right up....
The murder of an Elven diplomat visiting Aldorm. (Kira, perhaps?)
Gives us the tragedy we wanted to create the moot, as well as the obvious threat of Elven retaliation.
Some groups can be concerned there's a murderer in their midst, while the City Guard is obviously wary of the Elven blah dah blah.
The moot can even create a delegation to visit Efarien.
Or........ Naz'dhed? Though I doubt there'd be a Dark Elf diplomat. Hmm... *WARNING, possible shift of gears!*
How 'bout a Dark Elf kills someone? The city guard captures the offender. Obviously, some want justice (mob?), some are wary of a possible Naz'dhed attack.
Anyway, you get the general idea. The death of someone can escalate into a war. Plus, if we vote against the war, we can still have the moot, but have things solved peaceably. Heck, have Kagai be the killer, and ol' Vikky will bust him out or something.... ...now I'm just spiralling.... blaahhh....

well the thought, so as not to interfere with the goings on of aldorm, was for the orcs to attack efarien, so that we may still go on about buying fruit and other such things, while those who want some wartime action can find some vague reason to go to efarien. this way it doesn't enforce a set storyline on anyone, involving only the efarien boards, and the kirakesh boards (retaliation?) but i shall leave the decision to all of you. I don't want to force anything on anyone.

I think the forest fire would work well
Not that a murder idea isn't too bad, but there've been enough murders without a huge town-wide investigation, haven't there? Maybe even a large storm. Which I guess wouldn't leave much for a story. But the town could be almost utterly destroyed (little-to-no casualties, but injuries all around) And we go to fix it up?
Then, there is the fact that many people would lose too much, and the building thing wouldn't be quite interesting. maybe a disaster that isn't natural is the best route to go upon. I'd reall ylike a moot. It would be great to have many of us on at the same time, keep it lively. But I understand that for the two (well, one actually) people that affect either of my characters, our times are not quite in sync.
I'll post more ideas later, now duty calls to help grandmother with some filing cabinets.
*edit* This post was supposed to actually be in response to zoltan's last post on the first page, sorry.
